I’ve run three marathons and almost got into CrossFit before having my daughter 11 years ago. So it’s been a long time coming. I used the Ignite your Strength program via @onepeloton’s new Strength+ app - it was the best first day back working out because I actually had someone telling me what to do next! 🏋️‍♀️

I want to post here again. This account is actually devoted to the curated and creative me.

The me who plasters pictures of my kids is a different account.

The me who bakes as a baking co is another account.

This account is me and my musings. And things I find interesting. And my hobbies and loves.

So here’s the beginning of a series I think is interesting. Photos of old notes on my phone. Things that were too painful or outrageous to say out loud when I wrote them. I started doing this in 2014 and still do it today.

I can’t even tell you what happened in my life to spark most of these - but I don’t think it matters. The words on the page speak their own thing in the right now. No day but today. 🤍

The first picture is my new vision board for this

The first picture is my new vision board for this next season of life.

The last time I made one was eight years ago, with Andrew at a weekend retreat we took together before we had Stella. Many many things came to fruition from it (swipe to second photo to see my 2013 board).

Attitudes and habits we developed. Wishes we had like moving from the east coast to the midwest. Even down to actual literal material items, like our beloved brown leather chair or the random time our rental car from the trip we took to interview at the church in Wisconsin was the exact white Fiat from our vision board.

In making my collage, I tear out photos from magazines and set them aside for a day. Then I go through the pile and sort the picture and words into yes, no, and maybe piles. Then the assembly begins. It’s funny how things that resonated the day I tore them out end up being repurposed or have a word or phrase on the backside that I overlooked before that then get used. Words I never expected (like the word Storied) show up and find their place. As the board came to completion, I had a new pile of images that didn’t feel right to throw in the garbage but didn’t feel right to put on this board. So I saved them as future dreams; maybe they’ll still resonate, maybe not.

I’m excited to look at this board every day and wonder what dreams will come into being from it.
